At Polygon Chemie AG, sustainability is not a standalone initiative, but an integral part of how we run our business – shaping the way we interact with the environment, our employees, our business partners and our entire supply chain.

Our commitment is also reflected externally: In May 2025, Polygon Chemie AG was awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal. The EcoVadis assessment evaluates environmental performance, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, providing an internationally comparable benchmark for responsible business conduct.

In the area of environmental responsibility, we focus on structured processes, the responsible use of resources and transparency in chemicals management. Our environmental management system certified according to ISO 14001 provides an important framework for these activities.

Our responsibility towards our employees is a core element of our corporate culture. We stand for safe working conditions, equal opportunities and non-discrimination, and align ourselves with the objectives of the international SA8000 standard.

Integrity and fair business practices are firmly embedded in our day-to-day operations. We follow recognised principles of good corporate conduct, including the standards of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and ISO 26000.

We also take responsibility throughout the supply chain. As a specialty chemicals distributor, we place strong emphasis on transparent and sustainable sourcing practices, actively participate in the chemical industry’s Responsible Care initiative, and are a member of RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil), promoting the responsible use of palm oil-based raw materials.

In addition, we operate a quality management system certified according to ISO 9001, ensuring reliable processes and consistent service quality.

For us, sustainability is not a static target, but a continuous improvement process – driven by expertise, responsibility and long-term thinking.
